NIOC office opens in Beijing

Beijing, March 9, IRNA - National Iranian Oil Company’s office in Beijing was inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Iran’s ambassador to the country.

Director of NIOC's international affairs department Ali Asghar Arshi told IRNA on the sidelines of the event that the office will hopefully help promote Tehran-Beijing cooperation.

The prospect of the two countries’ collaboration is bright, he noted.

Stating that a considerable volume of Iranian crude is exported to China, he noted that the Chinese are implementing various Iranian projects including Yadavaran oilfield development.

He cited one of the objectives behind his trip to the country as holding negotiations about storing Iran’s crude in China.

He hoped that the office will help attract new customers and sell more oil to the country.

Iran is one of the main oil suppliers to the country./end
