Larijani: Justice, lost rule in today’s politics, economy

Tehran, March 10, IRNA – Islamic Parliament, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said in a meeting with visiting Nicaraguan UN General Assembly Chief, Father Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann here Monday justice is the lost rule in present day politics and economy.
Larijani in the meeting asked the entire truth seekers of the world to spend efforts aimed at the establishment of justice around the globe.
According to IRNA, the Majlis News and Mass Media Office reported that Ali Larijani during the Monday evening meeting at Parliament Speaker’s Office said, “Relying on efforts made by the truth seekers around the globe, justice must be initially established at international structures and bodies.”
He reiterated, “Injustice, oppression, and selfish tendencies have imposed their unwelcome presence over the political and economic decision making circles of the world.”
Larijani referred to the created limitations in the way of acquiring peaceful nuclear science and technology in Iran as a sample of the existing injustice in the structure of the current international system.
He reiterated, “The basis for such limitations is the adventurism and political pretext seeking, whose root is oppression and selfish tendencies of certain world powers.”
The Majlis Speaker referred to the current structure of the United Nations, particularly the UN Security Council, arguing that the stands adopted by that council during the course of the past years regarding certain important international issues has caused serious concerns regarding world peace and security, emphasizing the need for alterations in its structure towards a more moderate one.
Appreciating the appropriate stands adopted by the current head of the UN General Assembly, he referred to the General Assembly’s stand taking regarding the crimes committed by the Zionists in Gaza, reiterating, “The UN Security Council had at the time preferred to wipe out the problem from its agenda, rather than truly and effectively dealing with it.”
He expressed hope that during d’Escoto’s tenure at the UN General Assembly the objectives in mind for altering the existing economic and political structures would lead to satisfactory results.

Head of the UN General Assembly d’Escoto Brockmann, too, expressing delight over visiting Iran, said that the Islamic Revolution of Iran is the revolution of values, inspired by divine teachings and revelations.
“Religious value system orientation and remaining far from selfish tendencies are dire needs of the present day man and contemplation over revolutions such as the Islamic Revolution of Iran boost the trust and hope of the mankind for having a better world in the future," he added.
Brockmann said that the existing economic, political and cultural problems of the world are due to the hegemony of the inappropriate imperialist and militarist mentalities of the west and particularly the United States.
He reiterated: “Today the international economic and political structures are in need of change and evolution, more than ever before, adding “spirituality and humanism tendencies should have exalted statuses in the present international system.
The UN General Assembly chief said, “The imperialist ideology has no benefit for the world nations, save for inspiring irresponsibility and the entire members of the international society must play their expected roles in the revival course of the international system’s structure.”
He criticized the imperialist policies pursued in that respect, arguing, “The different US administrations feel uneasy with independence seeking tendencies and legitimacy of the independent countries and seek every excuse to weaken such countries and tendencies around the world.”
Brockmann meanwhile referred to Iran’s nuclear program, saying, “The United States and the west are well aware of the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program, but al the same, being used to bullying independent nations has urged them to keep seekin pretexts against Iran.”/end
