Al-Rae'i meets with UAE National Council Speaker

MUSCAT, March 09 (Saba) - On the sidelines of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union
(AIPU)'s 15th conference, Speaker of Parliament Yahya al-Rae'i met on Monday with
Speaker of Federal National Council in UAE Abdul Aziz Al-Ghurair .

The meeting dealt with several subjects of common concern, topped by developing the
parliamentary ties within the current bilateral ties between the two brotherly
countries so as to serve the supreme interests of Yemeni and Emirates peoples.

During the meeting, al-Ghurair expressed his high appreciation for Yemen's positions
towards UAE's right in its three islands.

Al-Rae'i also met with Secretary-General of Asian Parliaments Association Nejad
Husseiniat.

The meeting reviewed a number of topics related to the role of parliamentarians in
following up the vital issues concerning with Asian countries' peoples including
developing the parliamentary ties among those countries.

Furthermore, Parliament Speaker participated in the meeting held by Omani Deputy
Prime Minister Fahd Bin Mahmoud Al-Said with speakers of Arab parliaments and
accompanying parliamentary delegations participating in the conference in Muscat.

The meeting dealt with the subjects of developing the Arab-Arab ties and
strengthening Arab Parliaments' role in this field to reduce the contrasts in points
of views in the Arab countries and developing the economic fields and directing the
investments within Arab countries to avoid the negative impacts of global financial
crisis.
