NEMA HEAD T.BADRAL MEETS SECRETARY-GENERAL OF INTERNATIONAL CIVIL DEFENSE ORGANISATION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the sidelines of the AMCDRR 2018, Major-General T.Badral, Head of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has received Secretary-General of the International Civil Defense Organisation, Dr. Vladimir Kuvshinov. During the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation between the NEMA and the ICDO and exchanged views on further cooperation. Secretary-General of the International Civil Defense Organisation, Dr. Vladimir Kuvshinov noted, “National Disaster Management Center was established at the ICDO. Starting from September, experts of the ICDO member countries will have chance to work at the center and exchange experiences.” Mongolia joined the ICDO as an observer in 1992, and became a member in 2002 and a member of the Executive Council in 2011. Since the official membership, NEMA officials have been participating in various meetings, seminars and exercises on international civil defense. E.Altanzul
