PFLP: Morocco had to cut relations with Israel, not Iran

Damascus, March 9, IRNA – The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) said on Sunday evening that Morocco had to cut its relations with Israel and not with Iran which is the Palestine’s strategic ally.

Releasing a statement, the PFLP expressed regret over Morocco’s stand on Iran and said the Islamic Republic of Iran has been supporting the Palestinians against Israel which is the enemy of the Islamic and Arab countries.

Iran said on Saturday Morocco's decision to cut diplomatic links with the Islamic Republic harmed the unity of the Islamic world and it rejected Rabat's accusations of interference as "false and baseless."

The statement called on Morocco’s King Mohammed VI to change his decision on cutting relations with Iran which backs the Palestinian leaders and their resistance.

The statement added King Mohammed had to appreciate Iran and break his country's cooperation with the Zionists instead, which have martyred the defenseless Palestinian women and children./end
