PS calls to promote Arab solidarity to support Arab issues

MUSCAT, March 08 (Saba)- Parliament Speaker Yahya al-Raei called the
Arab countries to promote Arab solidarity for supporting Arab
issues, topped by assisting Palestinian people to establish their
independence state with Quds its capital.

In his speech in the 15th conference of Arab Inter-Parliamentary
Union which was kicked off on Sunday in the Omani capital Muscat,
al- Raei called the Palestinian factions to end the conflict, heal
the rift and unite the Palestinian raw.

He also asked for Arab efforts to support the Syria, Lebanon and
Sudan cases and refuse the decision issued by International Criminal
Court (ICC) on Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.

Al-Raei stressed the necessity to gather the Arab and regional
efforts to combat the piracy in Gulf of Aden.

It is worth mentioning, the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) is
an Arab parliamentary organization composed of parliamentary groups
representing Arab Parliaments. It was established in the wake of the
October war of 1974, as a result of the atmosphere of Arab
solidarity and Arab joint action, which encouraged Arab cooperation
through political, professional and other institutions.
