UNHCR calls for helping Yemen's refugees burden



GENEVA, March 07 (Saba)- Director of the Middle East and North Africa Circle at the
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Ridhwan Nuyasir renewed on
Saturday call of the commissioner for the international community to help reduce
burdens on Yemen due to the refugees flow from the African Horn, specially Somalia.

Nuyasir said that the situation in Yemen requires putting a new mechanism to
register refugees in cooperation with the National Committee for Refugees Affaires,
affirming that the commissioner will take in consideration all notes and suggestion
presented by Yemen during the 44th round of the Permanent Committee which was held
during 2-6 March.

Yemen representative in the round, Mohammed al-Shami, head of Africa Department at
the Foreign Ministry, affirmed in his speech approval of Yemen of all efforts of the
commissioner in the field of financial and administrative reforms in order to
increase performance of the commission and improve refugees situations.
