GEORGIA`S STATE MINISTER ON DIASPORA ISSUES VISITS GAKH REGION OF AZERBAIJAN

Baku, March 7 (AzerTAc). As part of his trip to Azerbaijan, Georgia`s State Minister
on Diaspora Issues lulon Gagoshidze visited Friday the country`s Gakh region.
The minister and his accompanied delegation first visited the monument to national
leader Heydar Aliyev.
Then, he met with head of the region`s executive power Mubariz Ahmadzade.
Ahmadzade told of friendly relations between the two countries. He also briefed the
Georgian minister on the history and culture of Gakh region. According to him, more
than 7 thousand Georgians live in the region.
Iulon Gagoshidze said his trip to the region aims to familiarize himself with it and
to meet with Georgians residing here.
After completing Gakh visit, the Minister will move on to Zagatala region.
