IRCS rebukes Egypt for blocking aid shipments entry to Gaza

Kashan, Isfahan prov, March 8, IRNA -- Head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Masoud Khatami on Sunday rebuked the Egyptian government for blocking aid shipments entry into Gaza saying what Egypt is doing contradicts the International Law.

Khatami said Egypt has blocked direct delivery of relief aid supplies to the Gaza Strip, but the international bodies have been trying to adopt effective measures for sending the aid to Gaza through Egypt.

World people have provided relief aid supplies for Gazans and are waiting for convenient way to transfer them to those in urgent need, he added.

“Iran is trying to find out the agents responsible for creating obstacles to delivery of relief aid supplies to Gaza and introduce them to the world public opinion,” Khatami added.

He said that Iran has sued Israel through The Hague-based International Court of Justice for stopping Iranian ship carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Iran’s Prosecutor-General has sought arrest warrant on March 2 for Israeli leaders for their crimes against humanity and war crimes in the Gaza Strip, Khatami said./end
