Iran-Tunisia commercial exchange increases fivefold

Tehran, March 8, IRNA – Iran’s deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari said Tunisia is an important country for Iran in the North Africa.
He added commercial exchange between the two countries has increased fivefold in a period of seven years.
Ghazanfari told IRNA Saturday that trade exchange level between Iran and Tunisia in the year of 2002 was only 47 million dollars while now it is more than 220 million dollars.
Head of Iran’s Trade Development Organization ( ITDO) said the tenth joint economic cooperation meeting of the two countries is being held now.
He reminded that legal structures for bilateral economic relations are almost appropriate.
The tenth joint economic cooperation commission started its work on Saturday and continues its meeting in the presence of Commerce Ministers of both countries on Sunday, too .
During the meeting, experts from Iran and Tunisia will discuss bilateral ties in the fields of economy, commerce, finance, investment, banking, custom, industry, mines, standards, petrochemistry, energy, oil, transportation, agriculture, environment, fishery, human resources, tourism, information technology, engineering and technical services./end
