German MP: Berlin,Tehran have numerous fields for cooperation

Berlin, Mar 7, IRNA – German head of German-Iranian Parliamentary Group said here Friday Tehran and Berlin have lots of fields for broad cooperation.
According to IRNA reporter in Berlin, Ralph Mutzenich in his meeting with the head and a number of members of the Iranian Parliament, Majils, National Security and Foreign Policy Commission in Berlin, said, “Campaign against narcotic drugs trafficking, medical and health services, and tourism are among the fields in which the two countries can have broader cooperation.”
During the meeting between a number of Iranian-German Friendship Group members at the German Parliament, the Bundestag, Mutzenich said, “Germany attaches special importance to reconstruction of Afghanistan and Iraq and tries to have a greater role in economic projects of those countries jointly with Iran.”
The Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, too, during the meeting on the last day of his German visit, said, “The record of the two countries and the two nations’ good and old ties has provided for a situation in which we can talk about further improvement of bilateral ties and greater cooperation.
He proposed during the meeting that the two countries Parliamentary Friendship Groups should step forth and act to expand bilateral ties.
Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Ala’eddin Boroujerdi arrived in Germany atop a parliamentary delegation upon an invitation extended to him by his German counterpart on Wednesday morning for a three day visit.
The Iranian delegation has in addition to meeting with German parliamentarians, met an conferred with the German interior minister, the harmonizer of intelligence services of German chancellor, and the
Head of Berlin Science and Politics Fund.
They left Berlin for Tehran on Friday evening./end
