Zagreb, Serbia, March 7, IRNA – Foreign Minister of Iran Manouchehr Mottaki stressed Iran’s support on Friday evening for peace and stability in the Balkans.

Mottaki said that Tehran was against the adoption of double standard policy.
He said that the foreign policy commissions of the Iranian and Serbian parliaments enjoyed good relations and promotion of bilateral ties would serve the two states' national interests.
Mottaki also said that the present international financial crisis has created a good opportunity for promotion of bilateral ties between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the Serbian parliament speaker said that Tehran-Zagreb political ties and mutual cooperation have pave the grounds for further expansion of bilateral ties in all fields.
While in Zagreb, Mottaki discussed major bilateral, regional and international issues with senior Serbian officials including his Serbian counterpart Vuk Jermic, country’s Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Minister of Economic and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic./end
