CONFERENCE OF SUPREME ISLAMIC AFFAIRS COUNCIL KICKS OFF IN CAIRO

Cairo, March 6 (AzerTAc). The 21st Conference of Supreme Islamic Affairs Council
started Thursday in the Egyptian capital.

The 4-day event brings together ministers, scholars and intellectuals from more than
95 countries as well as representatives of Islamic, Arab and international
organizations to review six main topics, including means for the renewal of the
Islamic jurisprudence as well as issues pertaining to the Islamic rhetoric and
philosophy.
Azerbaijan`s delegation is led by Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims` Board
Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade.
The conference was inaugurated by Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary-General of the
Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).
ISESCO Director General Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri and Sheikhulislam Allahshukur
Pashazade also made a speech at the event.
