Iran, Indonesia call for further religious cooperation
Jakarta, March 5, IRNA - Head of Iran's Islamic Culture and Relations Organization Mehdi Mostafavi and Indonesia's Minister of Religious Affairs Muhammad Maftuh Basyuni urged in a meeting on Wednesday deepening of bilateral cooperation in cultural and religious fields.
Mostafavi said there is no limit to Tehran-Jakarta ties, hoping that
the bilateral cooperation would be promoted at international scenes.
Basyuni, meanwhile, said Indonesia is willing to exchange cultural and
religious delegations between the two countries and hold conferences
on achieving complete unity among the Islamic states.
Mostafavi is visiting Indonesia, heading a cultural-religious
delegation, since March 3 to attend the 1st Iran?s Cultural Week in
Jakarta that will wind up on March 10.
During his stay in Jakarta at the invitation of Indonesian Minister of
Culture and Tourism Jero Wasic, Mostafavi inked a three-year-long
agreement on religion and science with him.
