ERC bears treatment expense of Yemeni woman suffering from elephantiasis

ADEN, 6th May, 2018 (WAM) -- In a kind humanitarian gesture, the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, announced that it would bear the treatment expenses of an 18-year old Yemeni woman suffering from Lymphatic filariasis in India. Fatima Mohammed Al Hoshbi left Aden Airport yesterday to India to start a treatment journey that will end her suffering from disease, also known elephantiasis, since her birth. Father of Fatima, who could not hold back his tears of joy, paid tribute to the leadership and people of the UAE for providing assistance to Yemeni people at this critical time. On her part, Fatima thanked the ERC, the UAE's humanitarian arm, for this kind and generous gesture.
