Overseas Vietnamese enterprises - bridge for trade ties

Sydney (VNA) - Overseas Vietnamese enterprises in Australia play an important role in Vietnam 's economic development and was a bridge for trade ties between the two countries.

The Vietnamese Consul General in Sydney , Vu Hong Nam made the remark at the
second forum of overseas Vietnamese enterpreneurs in Australia held in Sydney
on March 3.

The Vietnamese diplomat affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will continue
facilitating foreign investment, including those made by overseas Vietnamese
enterpreneurs from Australia . He sited as examples the visa exemption and
permission for overseas Vietnamese to own houses in Vietnam .

The Deputy Director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's European Department, Vu
Van Quang said the ministry is always ready to assist overseas Vietnamese
enterprises in doing business in their home country.

At the forum, the enterpreneurs shared experiences in doing business in Vietnam ,
focusing on credit access, incentives towards overseas Vietnamese investors and
environmental protection.

A similar business forum is scheduled to be held in Melbourne on March 6.-Enditem
