Fitzgibbon discusses pay bungle with SAS

Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon has met with SAS members and their families as he
works to clean up the controversy surrounding a pay bungle.
Mr Fitzgibbon spent four hours at the regiment's Perth barracks on Wednesday.
"He reaffirmed his commitment to ensure that no soldier will be disadvantaged by the
implementation of the Defence Force Remuneration Tribunal determination," a
spokesman for Mr Fitzgibbon told AAP.
An independent audit of the bungle, which left some officers with large debts after
being overpaid, is due to be handed to Mr Fitzgibbon later this month.
