New German department opened in Aden University

ADEN, Mar. 03 (Saba) - Head of Aden University Abdul Aziz Bin Habtour and German
ambassador to Yemen Michael Klor-Berchtold inaugurated here on Tuesday a new German
language and Studies department in the Faculty of Arts.

The department established by the support of German government has a German teaching
staff with a capacity of 20 students.

Bin Habtour considered the inauguration of the German department as a step in the
development process at Aden University, pointing out the importance of studying
civilizations and cultures of different nations to enhance the cultural and
civilization convergence between nations.

For his part, the ambassador expressed his pleasure of inaugurating the German
department in Aden University, praising the university's educational role in
introducing the students to the importance of studying the nations' languages to
communicate with them.
