UAE Athletics National Team mission arrives in Kuwait to participate in GCC Athletics Championship

DUBAI, 5th April, 2018 (WAM) -- A UAE Athletics National Team mission arrived today in Kuwait to participate in the 6th Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC, Athletics Championship. The mission, headed by Rashid Al Jari Al Katbi, Chairman of the Planning and Development Commission, includes competitors Fares Hassan Yousef, Zayed Al Saba Al Shamsi, Mohammed Hassan Al Raissi and Mohammed Al Shurafa. Saleh Mohammed Hassan, Secretary-General of the GCC Athletics Championship Organising Commission, and Dr. Ibrahim Al Sakkar, Chairman of the Technical Commission of the Organising Commission, left the UAE today for Kuwait. Ahmed Al Kamali, Member of the Executive Office of the International Athletics Federation and Chairman of the UAE Athletics Federation, urged the competitors to exert themselves fully and benefit from competition from around the GCC, which includes the best young talents. He added that the federation will support the competitors to improve their performance and enable them to compete on GCC, Arab and international levels.
