Qashqavi condemns PGCC statement on Iranian islands
Tehran, March 3, IRNA -
Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi said on Monday that the
recent statement issued by the PGCC on three Iranian islands of
Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa is blatant interference in the
country?s internal affairs.
According to the Information and Press Bureau of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, the spokesman once again underlined that these
islands are Iranian and will remain Iranian for ever.
These islands have been integral parts of Iran throughout history and
such baseless allegations are legally unfounded and cannot do any harm
yo the country?s sovereignty over the islands, he said.
The countries of the region should adopt a unified stand based on
Islamic solidarity in dealing with atrocities of the Zionists regime
and help bring its criminal heads to justice for their savage crimes
in Gaza and Lebanon, he said.
Raising such regrettable and baseless allegations would only deviate
public opinion from the realties in the Muslim world, he said.
