Prince Saud Al-Faisal issues statement
Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, March 02, SPA -- Prince Saud Al-Faisal,
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who leads
his country's delegation to the International Conference on the
Palestinian Economy and Gaza Reconstruction, hosted by the city of
Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, pointed out that funds granted to the
Palestinian for Gaza Reconstruction will be disbursed in case there
were no obstacles in this context.
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has set up a mechanism to submit its
share of the granted funds via the Saudi Development Fund in
cooperation with the Islamic Bank for Development and Gaza-based
international organizations to send the required materials and choose
the projects which will be implemented", Prince Al-Faisal noted.
In a press statement following the conference, he said that sending
the materials and equipment of construction inside Gaza Strip will be
impossible if there were any objection, expressing his fears that
what will be reconstructed may expose to destruction again, so there
should be guarantees to prevent that.
