Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques chairs Cabinet session 4
Dr. Khoja stated that the Cabinet condemned plans of the Israeli
occupation authorities aiming at evicting 1500 Palestinian citizens
in Al Bustan district, in the city of Al-Quds, from their houses. The
Cabinet expressed the Kingdom's rejection of these dangerous measures
that represents a breach of the Geneva Convention concerning the
protection of civilians, stressing that continuation of construction
of settlements is a great obstacle against the efforts to achieve
peace in the Middle East. The Cabinet called on the international
community to immediately interfere to stop these acts that violate
the most basic human rights, represent defiance to the will of the
international community and contradict the international laws and
norms.
The minister said that then, the Cabinet reviewed the cultural
activity that the Kingdom will witness, starting within the coming
two days: the National Festival for Heritage and Culture in
Al-Janadriya and the Riyadh International Book Fair. The Cabinet
stressed that these cultural activities reflect the country's
keenness and interest in cultural and intellectual interaction and
its prominent status as an Arab, Islamic and international cultural
hub.
