Yemen, US discuss issues of Yemeni detainees in Bagram base

SANA'A, Mar. 02 (Saba) - Yemen and the United States discussed here
on Monday several issues, topped by the case of Yemeni detainees in
the Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi held talks with the American
ambassador to Sana'a Stephen Seche on the issues dealt with in the
conference of Gaza Reconstruction held in Egypt on Monday.

On the other hand, al-Qirbi held meeting with Saudi ambassador to
Sana'a Ali bin Mohammed al-Hamdan.

During the meeting, al-Hamdan handed over to al-Qirbi a letter from
the Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal concerning with
coordinating efforts among Arab countries overlooking the Red Sea to
fight against piracy off the Somali coasts and its negative impacts
on the navigation movements in Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
