Court fines convict of killing Jewish citizen

AMRAN, March 02 (Saba)- Penal Court of Amran ordered a man convicted
of killing Jewish Masha Yaeish al-Nahari to pay YR 5.5 million as
Diah "blood money."

The court also sentenced to send the convict Abdul-Aziz al-Abdi to a
psychiatric hospital and be there until getting a medical report,
which proves al-Abdi is fine mentally in order to avoid repeating
his crime.

The sentence was based on the medical report of the committee at the
general attorney office which confirmed that al-Abdi was "mentally
unstable."

The prosecution and the family of the victim asked court to appeal
the verdict.
