PGCC: Dialogue best way to resolve Iran`s nuclear issue
Riyadh, March 2, IRNA -
Member states of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council here on Sunday
evening underscored the need for settlement of Iran?s nuclear issue
through dialogue and peaceful means.
Meeting in the Saudi capital, the foreign ministers of the six Persian
Gulf states including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, the United Arab
Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar agreed that dialogue between the Iranian
and Western authorities was the best possible way to resolve the issue.
In their final statement, the PGCC states also called for commitment
of all world countries to international rules and regulations.
They also pledged dlrs 1.65 billion towards reconstruction of the Gaza
Strip one day before an international donors meeting in the Egyptian
resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
Addressing the meeting, PGCC Secretary General Abdul Rahman al-Attiyah
reported on efforts made by the council?s technical committees
regarding the peaceful use of nuclear energy by the member states.
