Rome follows moderate diplomacy toward Tehran: Italian envoy
Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan Prov, March 2, IRNA - Italian Ambassador to Tehran Alberto Branini said Sunday evening
that Rome follows moderate diplomacy toward Tehran.
The Italian envoy, currently in this southern port city to become
familiar with the potentials of the area, made the remarks in a
meeting with the provincial Governor General Abdolali Saheb-Mohammadi.
He said the two nations share identical history and culture,
underlining the need for making use of the existing potentials in both
states to help promote bilateral relations in all areas.
Referring to participation of Italian companies in development
projects in Bandar Abbas, Branini reiterated that there is a bright
prospect for Tehran-Rome relations.
He voiced his country?s readiness to transfer its valuable experiences
in the area of tourism to Iran.
He further announced that Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini
will visit Tehran soon.
