Yemen, UNHCR discuss African refugees care issues

SANA'A, Mar. 01 (Saba) - Yemen and United Nations High Commissioner
for Refugees (UNHCR) held talks here on Sunday ways of enhancing
cooperation between both sides on the care of African refugees.

Deputy Foreign Minister and Chairman of National Commission for
Refugees Ali Muthana discussed with UNHCR delegation headed by
Resettlement Official William Libest the possibility of increasing
the organization's support to ease the burden on Yemen, especially
in the light of the increasing flow of displaced persons from the
Horn of Africa countries, topped by Somalia.

During the meeting both sides affirmed that resolving Somali
refugees' issue lies mainly in finding a solution for the Somali
crisis, noting to the significance to find out solutions for the
refugees in the stable regions in Somalia itself.
