Tehran, March 1, IRNA ?

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Saturday that there is
no swift and short-term solution to the rampant global economic crisis
and regional countries should pursue their objectives and interests in
the framework of their capacities.

Binali Yildirim, he added that Iran?s ties with its neighbors are
always based on mutual interests.

He hoped that regional countries will attain a more sustainable
process by drawing up new plans.

Describing Iran and Turkey?s status as strategic, Mottaki said that
they were always hubs of peace and stability in the region and played
crucial role in the regional and international developments.

He further noted that transportation had and has a significant role in
the two countries? relations.

They have numerous potentials for deepening ties, identification of
which will help achieve new goals in the region, Mottaki said.

Referring to the role of Economic Cooperation Organization?s (ECO)
role in promoting regional economic cooperation, he hoped the next
round of the meeting would help identify new infrastructures in the
fields of transportation and railway in the region.

good neighborliness.

He hoped that bilateral ties will be strengthened in the light of
regular talks.
