Malawian-Malaysian trade delegation in Mukalla city
MUKALA, Feb.28 (Saba) - A delegation from the Malawian-Malaysian
Chamber of Commerce and Industry is currently on a visit to Mukalla
City.
The visit comes within the frame of completing the technical studies
of building an integrated hotel, exhibitions hall, center for
Malaysian products and a training institute in Mukalla at a total
cost of $10 million.
In this regard, the delegation discussed on Saturday with the
officials in Hadramout's Chamber of Commerce and Industry the
necessary arrangements for carrying out the project under the signed
agreement between the Malawian-Malaysian Chamber and the Local
Authority of Hadramout province in last December.
The meeting reviewed the three phrases of the project which is
located on a total area of 20,000 square KM in sea choriche of
Mukala City.
Head of Hadramout's Chamber of Commerce and Industry Omar Ba-Jarsh
described the project as a good opening for more Malaysian
investments, pointing to the significance of strengthening the trade
exchanging between Yemen and Malaysia.
For his part, the deputy chairman of Malaysian Chamber of Commerce
and Industry and head of the delegation Mohammed Muhyyedin pointed
to the level of brotherly ties between Yemen and Malaysia,
describing them as historical.
