VN-Index ends week on an uptick
Hanoi (VNA) - The VN-Index has rebounded again, gaining 1.32 percent to close at 245.74 points on Feb. 27.
Trading volume reached a significant 10.3 million shares on a turnover of 171
billion VND (10 million USD). Most active shares included Sacombank (STB) with 2
million shares changing hands, Saigon Securities Inc (SSI) with 540,000 shares,
and Tan Tao Industrial Park Corp (ITA) with 484,000.
Foreign investors contributed significantly to the trading volume with 4.9 million
shares traded, but still maintained large sales. They were net sellers of nearly 3
million shares with a net value of 30.3 billion VND (1.8 million USD).
In Hanoi , the HASTC-Index closed 1.86 points higher, or 2.27 percent, at
83.96. Trading volume was 4.7 million shares worth 85.6 billion VND (5 million
USD).
Most shares on the northern market witnessed modest activity, except for Asia
Commercial Bank (ACB) with 1.2 million shares traded, and Vinaconex Group (VCG)
with 845,000 shares.-Enditem
