Iran, third crude oil exporter to Japan
Tokyo, Feb 28, IRNA - Iran was Japan's third crude oil exporter in January 2009, the Japanese energy and oil organization reported on Saturday.
Iran, exporting 15.850 million barrels of crude oil to Japan, settled
in the third place after Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates
respectively in first and second places, the report added.
Iran?s crude oil export to Japan has had 17.2 percent decrease in
January 2008 which showed the smallest drop compared to those of other
oil suppliers to Japan.
This is the first year since 2004 that Japan has faced a significant
decrease in importing crude oil to that country due to the global
economic recession.
