AFHR symposium highlights UAE human rights achievements

GENEVA, 23rd January 2018 (WAM) - The Arab Federation for Human Rights (AFHR) on Tuesday hailed the remarkable achievements of human rights in the UAE and the country's support to moderation, stability and development. This came during a symposium organised by AFHR on the sidelines of the UN Human Rights Council's Universal Periodic Review process in Geneva. The symposium, entitled: "UAE human rights .. achievements and challenges", touched on the huge progress made in all fields, including judiciary, family, women participation, youth support, freedom of opinion and innovation. Fatimata N'Doye, Advisor for Development Strategy, praised the achievements made by the UAE women.
