Vitranschart offers 40 mil shares on HOSE

HCM City (VNA) - The Vietnam Sea Transport and Chartering Company (Vitranschart)
on Feb. 26 listed 40 million shares, coded VST, becoming the 174th listed company on
the Ho Chi Minh Securities Exchange (HOSE).

At its first session, VST was traded at 19,200 VND per share.

Vitranshart, formed by merging Transchart and Sovosco companies, was equitised in
December 2007 with a charter capital of 400 billion VND.

Vitranschart has a fleet of 19 ships with a total capacity of 304,000 DWT. It
currently ranks second in the number of ships and third in tonnage among
affiliates of the Vietnam Marintime Corporation.

This year, the company is expected to fetch a turnover of over 1.6 trillion VND.
It plans to invest 20 million USD on new ships in 2009 and raise the tonnage of
its fleet to 400,000 DWT by 2010.-Enditem
