IBD grants $ 1 mln to Yemen
SANA'A, Feb. 25 (Saba)-Yemen and the Islamic Bank for Development
(IBD) signed on Wednesday a grant agreement presented by the fund to
a project of compensate affected farmers of date trees and owners of
honey farms due to flood, which hit Hadramout and al-Maharah
governorates.
The agreement was signed by deputy prime minister and minister of
planning and international cooperation Abdul-Kareem al-Arhabi and
head of reducing poverty section in the fund Othman al-Fial.
The agreement comes within the Jeddah announcement by the fund to
offer $ 1.5 billion to support agriculture and food security for
member countries.
