Economic, industrial areas development study in Yemen discussed

SANA'A, Feb.25 (Saba) - An expanded meeting was held on Wednesday at
the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation for
discussing the study related to economic and industrial areas
development in Yemen.

During the meeting chaired by Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi joining the technical team of a
Dutch company charged with carrying out the study, al-Arhabi
confirmed the significance of completing the study preparation
within the planned time, parsing the efforts exerted by the company
during the last months.

The technical team gave a detailed presentation for what had been
achieved in the study including the marketing strategy of economic
and industrial areas and the suggested amendments for the free zones
law, the general scheme of Aden's Free Zone in G section and the
general scheme of the industrial area in Hodeidah province.

The company reviewed the economic and financial analysis of
financial indicators for developing the section G in Aden's Free
Zone and the industrial area in Hodeidah and the required investment
costs as well as upgrading the general scheme of Free Zone in Aden
and its limits and raising the competency of its administrative
team.
