German organisation assists vocational training
Thanh Hoa (VNA) - Central Thanh Hoa province inaugurated on Feb. 24 a vocational training school for underprivileged young people which was built with an aid of 11 billion VND from Germany 's Terre Des Hommes organisation.
The school, able to accommodate 250 learners every year, aims to help local
disadvantaged children and young people, particularly those in mountainous and
coastal areas, to find jobs, stabilise their lives and integrate into the
community.
More than 160 people have been enrolled to the school's first courses on tailoring,
engineering, and information technology. A course on linguistic signs is also open
for deaf children.
Thanh Hoa province has more than 10,000 disabled children, 10,000 orphans and
thousands of children of poor families who need help to be literate and learn
