Hanoi (VNA) - Hanoi 's Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School on Feb. 25 inaugurated the operation of two learning facilities with special equipment for visually-impaired pupils worth 82,000 USD funded by the Japanese Government.

The equipment consists of five Braille printers to produce textbooks and
high-quality sound devices for music lessons of more than 120 visually-impaired
pupils, who are joining 1,120 healthy others in mixed classes that are expected to
help them well integrate into the community.

Japanese ambassador to Vietnam Mitsuo Sakaba said at the inaugural ceremony that
those facilities are expected to help the disadvantaged pupils to make noticeable
progress in learning.

"The project will help deepen the friendship and understanding between Japan and
Vietnam ," the ambassador added.

Earlier this month, Japanese Crown Prince Naruhito visited the school and attended
a concert performed by visually-impaired pupils.-Enditem
