Alak Discusses With Chargé d'Affaires of Azerbaijan Embassy Opportunities For Partnership And Investment

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (NINA) - Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Mehdi Al-Alak discussed with Chargé d'Affaires of Azerbaijan Embassy in Iraq Ramiz Qafarov, opportunities for partnership and investment. A statement of the secretariat quoted Alak as saying "The investment opportunities in Iraq are great because of its human and natural resources, in addition to the great potentials," added that he is looking forward to "the effective contribution of Azerbaijani companies to investment in Iraq in the future." Alak called on the largest Azerbaijani companies to attend the Kuwait Conference for the reconstruction of Iraq, planed to be held in next February, where a large package of facilities will be offered to invest in Iraq. For his part, Gafarov congratulated the Iraqi government and people on the occasion of the final victory over terrorism, stressing his country's support for Iraq in the post-Daesh.
