Sentences against Sunaina cell passed




SANA'A, Feb. 24 (Saba) - The First Instance Court passed here on Tuesday sentences
from 2 to 4 years against the four suspect members of the "Al-Sunaina cell".

The court session, presided over by the judge Mohsen Alwan, delivered a sentence of
seven year for the suspects Mohammed Mohsen Al-Saadi, Munir Hassan Al-Bouni and Esam
Mohammed Ghailan and a two-year sentence for the fourth member Osama Al-Saadi.

The suspects were arrested in a tenant of Al-Sunaina area in Sana'a having weapons
and bombing devices readied for the use including explosive charges through a remote
control, hand grenades and machine guns.

The prosecution had charged the defendants of being involvement in forming an armed
gang aimed to carrying out criminal acts against the foreign tourists and interests
as well as governmental facilities to harm country's security, safety, economy and
tourism.
