Yemen condemns terror bombing in Egypt
SANA'A, Feb. 23 (Saba)- Yemen strongly condemned on Monday a bomb attack at the bustling Khan el-Khalili market in the Egyptian capital Cairo that killed a number of tourists and Egyptian citizens.
In its statement issued on Monday, Foreign Ministry said "Yemen condemns this
terrorist incident that targeted innocent and peaceful people", wishing the injured
a speedy recovery and wishing Egypt and its people permanent security and stability.
"Terrorism is a scourge that should be seriously combated and drained its resources
by international community", said Yemen.
The deadly explosion on Sunday evening killed a 17-year-old French girl and wounded
24 others, including 17 French tourists, one German, three Saudis and three
Egyptians.
Up to now, no group or person has claimed responsibility for the first fatal attack
on tourists in Cairo since an explosion in the same area killed two tourists and
wounded 18 others in 2005.
