President meets PIJ leader in Damascus
DAMASCUS, Feb. 23 (Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh received in Damascus Secretary General of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) Ramadan Shalah over situation in Palestine after Israeli offensive in Gaza and efforts of achieving Palestinian-Palestinian conciliation.
Shalah appreciated Yemeni position, which supports issue of the Palestinian people,
highlighting honorable stance of president Saleh and Yemeni people during the
Israeli offensive in Gaza.
President Saleh renewed Yemen's position of supporting the Palestinian people to get
their rights and set up their independent state and al-Quds as its capital.
He said that the Palestinian conciliation would reflect positively to achieve Arab
conciliation in order to serve interests of the nation in genera.
