GTZ: German assistance to Yemen will not be affected by global financial crisis

SANA'A, Feb. 23 (Saba)-The Executive Director of the GTZ said on Monday that the German assistance to Yemen would not be affected due to the global financial crisis.


During his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of
Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Kareem al-Arhabi, the GTZ official
affirmed concern of the German government to offer all available support for Yemen,
pointing out to the fields of the mutual cooperation between Yemen and the German
corporation.

Al-Arhabi praised contributions of the German government in supporting the
development process in Yemen, particularly sectors of education, water and
development of human resources.

He highlighted long historical Yemeni-German ties, reviewing challenges facing the
development in the country.

Al-Arhabi said that Yemen is looking forward further cooperation between Yemen and
Germany in coming period.
