Larijani: Bahrain, a revered brotherly neighbor of Iran

Tehran, Feb 23, IRNA - Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani criticized activities on the part of a
number of regional countries regarding Bahrain and said Iran respected
Bahrain as a brotherly neighboring country.

Making the remarks at the opening of the parliament?s today open
session, he referred to a number of developments in the region due to
some minor issues pertaining to Bahrain and said certain people
created such ballyhoo about a comment issued from a historical point
of view and created such traffic of unusual visits across the region.

Stressing that Iran regarded Bahrain as a friendly neighboring country
and respected its nation, Larijani regretted such attempts by certain
elements in the region and said the efforts could be interpreted as
another attempt yet to overshadow the basic issue of the Islamic
Ummah, namely the crisis in Palestine
