Donated money stolen from CFA station

A callous thief has broken into a fire station and stolen money collected for victims of Victoria's devastating bushfires.

Police several hundred dollars was taken from the Inverloch Country Fire Authority
(CFA) station some time over the past few days.
There were signs of forced entry to the office where the money was kept.
Police believe the thieve broke in sometime between February 17-22.
Since Victoria's devastating bushfires, which have killed at least 209 people, there
have been several attempts by thieves to steal money intended for victims.
Last week, a 35-year-old man appeared in court charged with the theft of a
collection tin from the Prince of Wales Hotel in St Kilda.
A woman has been the centre of allegations she falsely claimed her father died in
the fire so she could obtain $15,000 in compensation.
