WB to support Yemen facing Inte'l financial crisis, official says

SANA'A, Feb. 21 (Saba) - WB vice president for Middle East and North
Africa Region Daniela Gressani voiced on Saturday the WB's readiness
to provide support to Yemen to face the global financial crisis.

Upon her arrival to Yemen in an official visit for three days, the
WB official clarified the Bank finances a number of projects in
Yemen in infrastructure, social, educational, health sectors.

Gressani added the visit aims to hold talks with the Yemeni
officials on the programs and projects being implemented by WB and
to begin arrangements for the future programs.

She pointed out the delegation would pay field visits to the
WB-implemented projects and meets with the officials in the
concerned bodies and representatives of the private and women
sectors.
