Iran, South Africa to foster cooperation, official
Pretoria, Feb 21, IRNA ?
The head of the commerce organization of the central Iranian
province of Qom said on Saturday that Iran and South Africa are to
boost trade cooperation.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA correspondent after winding up his
week-long visit to Africa, Hassan Jamshidi said the two sides?
officials held talks on promoting commercial cooperation by getting
familiar with their potentials that would be the best way to remove
hindrances to that end.
Jamshidi said the 20-member delegation of Qom province to South Africa
is to invite the African country to send a trade delegation to Iran in
order to get familiar with the Iranian provinces, Qom province in
particular.
Iran is South Africa?s third trade partner but their cooperation is
confined to oil exports; however, the two countries are to develop
cooperation in exports of non-oil products, due to the considerable
potentials the two states have.
