Larijani consults intl. political figures to support Palestinians

Tehran, Feb 21, IRNA - Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani consulted with a number of regional and international political figures concerning a confab to support Palestinians.

According to the Majlis international relations office on Friday, the
speaker in continuation of his consultations to hold conference for
supporting oppressed Palestinians talked by telephone with OIC
Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Chairman of the UN General
Assembly Miguel D' Escoto Brockmann, Secretary General of Arab League
Amr Mussa , Pakistan Senate Speaker Somero, Oman Minister of Foreign
Affairs Yusef Bin Alavi and Venezuelan Parliament Speaker Cicilia
Flousi .
In his talks , Larijani underlined sensitive situation of the Middle
East region and inhuman actions of the Zionist regime, especially
ethnic cleansing in Gaza which has caused crisis in the region.
He added the current sensitive situation in the region needs close
consultations and coordinated actions to support oppressed Palestinians.
Larijani said that holding such a conference is a move to emphasize
rights of Palestinians and condemn inhuman crimes of the Zionist regime.
