Yemeni-Russian talks held in Moscow
MOSCOW, Feb. 19 (Saba)- A Yemeni-Russian talks session was held on
Thursday in the Russian capital, Moscow, co-chaired by Yemen Finance
Minister Numan al-Suhaibi and Russian Deputy Premier and Minister of
Finance Alexei Kudrin.
The talks dealt with the mutual relations between the two friend
countries and horizons of developing them as well as preparation of
the coming visit of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to Russia.
The two sides discussed drafts of agreements presented by the Yemeni
side to the Russians, out of which are a cooperation agreement in
the field of economy and another cooperation agreement in the field
of fighting crimes, in addition to means of reducing Russian debts
on Yemen.
The Yemeni minister affirmed that the visit of President Saleh to
Russia will open wider horizons of cooperation between the two
countries in all fields, specially in the economic, financial and
investment fields.
For his part, the Russian minister expressed comfort for the growing
Yemeni-Russian relations, welcoming the visit of Saleh.
