Vice President receives US NDI Director

SANA'A, Feb. 18 (Saba)-Vice President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi
received on Wednesday US National Democratic Institute for the
Middle East Department Leslie Campbell who currently visits the
country.

Hadi reviewed with Cambpell a number of issues and topics
concerning democratic approach and preparations for holding the
parliamentarian elections on April 27 according to legal and
constitutional appointment.

He affirmed that the democratic approach in Yemen is still in
growing step, highlighting necessity of NDI support and all
concerned agencies for overcoming difficulties and obstacles facing
democracy in Yemen.

For his part, Combpell expressed his complete understanding saying "
we have expressed several times on our satisfaction with Yemen's
steps towards democracy,". He indicated continuous support for
making these goals successful.
