German NGO to open office in Vietnam
Hanoi (VNA) - Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung (RLS), a German non-governmental organisation, has been granted permission to open a representative office in Vietnam .
The permit was granted to Dorit Lehrack, RLS's chief representative, by Vu Xuan
Hong, president of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO), in
Hanoi on Feb. 20.
According to an agreement signed on the same day by RLS and VUFO, the former will
provide funding of 1.2 million EUR via a number of projects and programmes
involved in agricultural development, technological transfer, research and
development, and programmes designed to build the capacity of friendship
organisations, resulting in a strengthening of diplomatic ties between Vietnam
and Germany .
RLS, formerly the Association of Social Analysis and Political Education, aims to
promote scientific, political, arts and cultural research, as well as encourage
and increase levels of international cooperation./.-Enditem
